    hi

    my website is:
    #2 on ie
    #2 on chrome
    #2 on opera
    #27 on ff
    #27 on safari

    any explanation?
    how could that be???

    is it fixable?

and most important, how do i make it #2 on ff too (and not #27 on ie) ?

    thanks

    lenny

I thought im the only one experiencing this weird results. Believe it or not my site has been #1 on IE it outranks wikipedia but on ff it's on the third page.

I've seen different results in Google for the same phrase sitting next to someone, and we both performed the search at the same time. So, I think the browser has little to do with how your site is ranked.

Some of the plugins that we use on FF and Safari can play games, they have the ability to change things, so watch out for that, also log out of google before searching

I think this is due to browser and you are getting results from different data centers depending upon the load on the particular data centers. So it is not a problem i think. Better to check your site ranking for particular keywords through some online tools.

    hi guys

i already got the right answer.
when i'm logged in to google it adjusts the results according to my surfing hystory (personalized results)

but ... ! also if i'm not loggedin it gives me results according to my surfing history.

do youeself a favour and watch this amazing video from googleblog.

    http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/12/personalized-search-for-everyone.html

(thank you Magda for the link)

what it means is that when i went to an seo expert and he showd me his sites all on first places, it was on HIS computer.
on my computer he is not on the first million results.

as with my site, on my computer.
its natural place is #27 (for a given keyword), only i see it on #2 when logged in.
when i logout - my site moves to #27.

    thanks

    lenny
