Different results from Google and backlinkwatch

Hi friends,
Why is that when i check for backlinks from Google using link:url the result is different than in www.backlinkwatch.com
Baclinkwatch.com shows more backlinks for a url and when i use same on google the numbers are less. Which backlinks are counted by Google when taking it into consideration for PR ? Backlinkwatch backlinks result or Google link results ?

 

Google doesn't show all backlinks to stop spying by competitors

 

Baclinkwatch com does not show google backlinks
and not all that it show are to the home page either as far as i can see.

 

Google only shows little quality link they adopted.(more you can see in google webmaster tool)

but backlink watch shows all without any sense

 

Different tools shows different results. Try with another one like this Free Backlink Checker tools and then decide which one best suits you for future use also.

 

Google not showing all Back links and also taking some months to record new back links. but backlinkwatch or any other tool bar within a day indexing all the BL.. and also not avoiding any links...

 

so which one should i follow Google or other sites ?

 

Google don't show all the backlinks. You can try Yahoo site Explorer and it shows lots of backlinks while google shows only 5 backlinks fro my site.

 

Best way of viewing your Google backlinks in is webmaster tools.

 

Only back links shown in Google are relevant enough for Google. Also it intentionally doesn't count all back links and even not show all of the counted ones to stop competitors spying over a website.

Back link checker tools generally show back links from major search engines, some from Google, yahoo, msn or Alexa or even combined results.
