Yes...That's the pretty good feature given by Google Plus.. IF you share any thing to Google plus profile it will be shown in SERP's with high priority more that other results...this will happen to your followers, friends and people who added you in your circle... Once if you are not sing in to the profile Google will show results with out considering your sharing in SERP"s... It happens to me all the time i think my website hit the first page and then i remember im sign into google.
This is called personalized search results. When logged in they try to serve websites that you have shown an interest in. So just remember to log out of Google when you need to see more accurate search results, or just use a different web browser.
You can disable personalisation (so that you don't need to log out) by adding &pws=0 to the end of the search string, e.g.: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=google&pws=0 Code (markup):
Google is very difficult to guess now, this is main thing to understand today, if your keyword is not ranking in top 3 you can still get searches from top 3 as well, according to the statics.
