I created multiple pages, and for some reason there are always one of two scenarios on the SERP of google: 1 of the pages will be in the #4 spot and the other in the #12 or the other page will be in the #3 spot and the previously high placed page will be on the 3rd page in the #34 spot This alternates day to day. They never both appear on the 1st page for the particular keywords. I haven't done much with linking yet, but the only ones that appear to be consistently placed are the pages with high page rank. Anyone have a clue why this is happening?
a similar thing happened to me. i had a site around #80 in rankings. i checked the next day and it was not in the top 1000, next day back around #90. And this strange placement still continues....i'd like to know the answer too..
It turns out google has 100s of data centers. So the results your getting for a few days is one from a particular data center, then the next day or week you could be getting another. High PR means that most data centers have them locked in on that position. Google "google data centers" to find out more info or send me a PM.
