different Overview report values in IE, Firefox

In the thread "Adsense Bug?", I mentioned a strange quirk in my AdSense reporting.

When I check the Overview using more than one browser, I can get different results. Even the number of impressions / clicks seem to reflect a different set of tracking data. Ultimately, all data seems to be reflected later in the day, but it seems that you'd have to go out of your way to code this Overview report to give different reports to the same user at the same time - only because of the browser.

The attached screenshots display the Overview report at the same exact time of day, yet IE shows more earnings and LESS clicks / impressions than Firefox ( sorry, but I just HAD to snap the screenshot when it hit $6.66 ). Very strange indeed.

Compare to Firefox - which indicates a lower earnings, but higher clicks / impressions. Very strange!

    I don't think that this's a Adsense "bug".

I think that: problem is you! you check your account earnings on FF after IE, and there's that different!

I have to disclose the impressions and clicks -- as well as the earnings for this period of time in order to show the issue. Can't the eCPM be simply calculated if you have the earnings and clicks; I have since blurred those areas out.

nobitu, you're missing the fact that one browser displays a higher earnings for FEWER clicks and impressions. Also -- I reloaded each browser a couple times - and the same results persisted for the next few (nocache) reloads. I haven't tried to reload either page after deleting the cookies, but I bet this has something to do with it.

This is off-topic just a bit, but nobitu's assumption wouldn't be needed if the Overview page simply displayed a timestamp on it somewhere. Isn't that a great idea? How many times have you ever been happily multi-tasking away - with lots of tabs opened, clicked to refresh the Overview page, -- only to refresh the page a few minutes later and "doh! - I just checked it and all the numbers are identical!!"
