different number of posts under different categories

    Yes,

    I know the overall number of posts to be displayed for all categories can be changed from setting > Reading in WP Admin.

    But I would like to display different number of posts under different categories.

    help appreciated.

    As far as I know, if you enable that option Wordpress will list your categories and show the exact amount of posts belonging to each category...

    Custom Query String was a plugin that did that. Search for a version that works with the latest WordPress build.
