Is it recommended that you use different meta tags (description/keywords) on different pages? If so, how is this done when you're using a blogging platform such as WordPress? Thanks
Iwonder, it says that there is No automatic generation of meta tags on static pages. Static meaning there is no flash work on the page? or does static means that content is never added on the blog page?. and is there a wordpress plugin that does auto generates and auto adds metatags for blogs?
Meta description and keyword tag has minimal effect on google serps but still has some effect at yahoo and msn ranking so if you are a maximalist i would suggest you to write expressive and unique content relvant meta tags.
Bagi, i just wanna make sure that pagerank will be picked up when my blogs are seo'ed so i just wanna make sure the metatags are there, and i dont have to go in there and place them myself everytime new content comes in or a post is made.
static page means a page that is created but only HTML and CSS and there is no PHP/ASP/... script on it!for example in this page you and me can post our thoughts without any programming knowledge and with a few clicks but for static pages only someone can modify/add/... pages that knows HTML/CSS and has access to the host backend!
yes, it's suggested for every type of cms or blog. you can use it with meta tags plugins (which you can find official wp web site) and you can also edit your header template (like me)
Well, if meta tags are such a small factor, then why should we use different meta tags on different pages? Would like some info on this if anyone knows
