Different language question

    Hey guys,

    Maybe someone can help me...

    I have my wordpress website in English language. Now I want to create another WordPress website but in Spanish language using the English database backup.

    How should I do?
    I was thinking:

    1- do manual backups of English version home files and database and install in a new domain.

    2- download WordPress at https://es.wordpress.org in Spanish language and replace all files with the English ones.

    How about the database? Is there anything there to translate? Or replace the files is enough?

    Install wordpress in sub-domain or sub-folder like /es/ and publish translated content.

    If you use the English database backup, you will have two versions of your website indexed, which will create duplicate content issues.

    But unfortunately, I have too much modifications in my database :/
    Isnt there any other option?

    What duplicated are you talking about? posts, permlinks, etc...?
    How about If I delete all, posts, pages, etc... and add from zero again in new language?

    Why would you go through all that trouble for another language? Just use a WP Plugin that will translate for several different languages.
