Different IP Addresses For My Websites

Many users are now getting unique ip addresses for their interlinking websites so that google will think they are on a different server , however.

If i was to purchase a seperate dedicated ip address for each of my websites

Wont google just check the DNS of the addresses , meaning they will know they are still on the same server ?

Does anyone have any opinions on how getting a dedicated ip address but staying on the same server is going to help you out when you have multiple sites linking to eachother ?

    Thanks

It's not so much unique IP's that you ant, you want different IP's with different C blocks but this only becomes an issue if you have LOTS of sites. You're OK with 10 - 20 sites per shared IP if you're interlinking them all.

99% of sites on the internet are on shared IPs so it's quite natural for sites with the same IP to be seen linking to each other as long as it's not excesive.

I don't see how checking DNS records reveals what physical server one is using. Are you asking if Google might see that same owner of domain? That might be possible but I doubt Google is doing it.

    Cheers,

You're forgetting something -- Google is a domain registrar and as such has access to the WHOIS database. Can't beat an all-access backstage pass, especially one as prestigious as that.
