Why does Google Webmaster tools show different info from Google Web Search ?
Noted that Google Webmaster Tools show different info compared to at Google Web Search (www.google.com )

    Indexing
In Google Webmaster Tools, at "Dashboard> Overview" , under Indexing it says:

Index status: Pages from your site are included in Google's index.See Index stats. but when we do site:www.domain.com command at Google search, it shows no results i.e. not indexed
So why does Google webmaster tools say "Pages from your site are included in Google's index" but it is not showed as indexed in Google search

    Links
Also in Google Webmaster Tools, at "Dashboard> Links>Pages with external links" it lists lots of external links but when go to Google search and do link:www.domain.com there are no results

Would appreciate if someone can explain the reasons for the discrepancies/ differences.
    Thanks :)

IF you ask me then i wud say These days Google Webmaster Tools is totally Crap. SO don't believe on stats given by webmaster tools..................

I am also suffering from these problems. Many people say that this due to different data centers of Google and your site presence in Different countries, but it's hard to believe because difference is too big..........................

So noting in our hands and we have to carry on with this garbage store.......................

I think these days this command link: www.domain. com don't work and Google webmasters tools link tab gives you better idea...................

I would blame this on different data centers, even though schgrv don't believe so.
Your site is indexed on one, but still not showing on others.
A few more days will sort this out, this has happen to me before also.
