Hay, I'm seo having good reputation/experienced but I'm confused with optimising a WP site. Is optimising a WP website follows same procedure as normal sites?. If no, what are the ways of optimising a wordpress website. Do we need to know any kind of programming?, becaues we just can't open Index.html page and write meta tags, Title Tag, Alt tag etc. Someone told me I need to install SEO Plug in, but what SEO Plug in is?. Anyone could explain?. Thanks Sam
Optimizing a WP site and a normal site is done the same way. The only difference is in approach. In WP you can install All-in-One SEO Plug-in which looks after most of the SEO needs of your site. On the other hand, normal website does not have such add-on. It is much easier to optimize a WP site as it is completely built on SEO guidelines.
you don't need to open the Index.html page and write meta tags, Title Tag, Alt tag or etc. just upload the all in one plugin in the plugin folder, and then activated the plugin, now all you need to do is fill the title, description and the keyword from the wp admin on ur website..
what usually your SEO method on html page? you can implement all in WP .. example -> 1. Permalink : with this, just go to setting - permalink, set your permalink 2. head meta / title / tag : install plugin for this (just search on Plugin - Add New), then setting it 3. link : just put your link on Link menu 4. bookmarking : just install bookmarking plugin, then setting it etc .. you can start from here -> http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ search for any SEO method you like ...
Really its the same. The difference is that WP is already built fairly onsite SEO friendly so you have to do less to get it there.
Thankyou guys...It seems optimising a WP site/blog is easier but one should have knowledge of WP like how to install and activate all in one plugin, he should be technical...however in case of normal sites...its not necessary. Thanks once again.
