My site mock up looks fine in FF and IE 5/6 (IE 5 and 6 have slight differences, but nothing major), but IE7 displays list items incorrectly. They have more vertical space between each list item than it should. I had this same problem with IE 5/6 a while back and found a work around for it, but evidently the work around didn't apply to IE 7. Is this something to really lose any sleep over since IE 7 is still in beta and not officially released? If you're interested the site is www.deronsizemore.com/test
They still have another revision at least before they cram it down our throats. I hope they fix all the problems before it ships or it's more coding and hassle for us
At this point, I'd say not to worry about it... yet. They are expecting a Q4 release, so when time is a bit closer, take a look at it again. Chances are, it will still have plenty of bugs so be ready for some heartache.
You don't say which work-around/hack you used, but the root cause is that stupid idea called hasLayout. Early reports are that IE7 has the same issue, and that the same 'true' fix will work. See http://www.csscreator.com/node/6745 for an explanation. cheers, gary
Just for the record: I've opened many threads about the differences in displaying HTML/CSS between IE (any version) and FF in general. And most of the times, it seems that there's no work around them ... tayiper
Hi, I used the Holly Hack to get around the menu displaying incorrectly in IE6. I'll have to read that link you supplied closer tomorrow..no time tonight. Thanks
