Differences between Google and overture

As an online advertising and internet marketing company, we
are always looking for advertising that works. We are now using Google
Ad words with a success rate of around 2 - 2.5% CTR on most ads. However, I have heard that Overture are returning even better results. Does anyone have any real experience with Overture and how do they differ from Google. Thanks,

    Yes, I have.

    Google: Fast Inventory Management System
Overture: Dog Slow & Unintuitive System

    Google: £0.04 minimum click.
    Overture: £0.10 minimum click.

    Google: Instant Ad Approval
Overture: Up To 7 Days Silly System

    Google: Loads More Traffic
    Overure: Smaller Audience

    Google: Way Better Conversion
    Overture: Poor Performance

    Google: Excellent Reporting
Overture: Crap Reporting That Won't Load

    Google: AdWords API
Overture: Have An API But I E-Mailed Them 10 Days Ago And No Reply Yet - Crap!

Google: Beat Higher CPC Ads With CTR Quality
Overture: Ad Ranking Only By Bids

    Verdict:

Use both but don't expect much from Overture (besides frustration over their system).

You can do small PPC test by the use of google. When you find your small test is good, you may go with oveture too. Overture is more costy.

Don't know whether it has anything to do with market (I am in Oz) but whilst Overture does deliver signifcantly lower levels of traffic, for more competitive words you can get much lower bid prices and I am also seeing higher conversion rates.

That's what I find as well. Google is far more competitive. And you have to closely monitor your bids. Overture will allow you to more easily set a budget and stick to it, than feeling like you need to raise it to stay competitive like adwords.

The traffic is lower but the conversion is definitly there.

Overture does not convert at all for me. I think most clicks are fraudulent from competitors - overture just does a bad job at filtering them out.

Overture's ad approval system is soooo outdated. 3 days to get an ad approved? Come on people.

Have to agree - google - excellent, Overture - pants......

There's just not the traffic on Overture ot make it worth wading through their nightmare system.....

Have consistantly achieved 5-8% CTR through Google - Overture - dont really expect anything from it at all!

Its a shame really.....I'm sure some people use MSN / yahoo etc......
