I really doubt anyone at all can tell you. All 3 have their own algorithms and to compare the differences, I think you can write a phd thesis on that.

Google, Yahoo and MSN, are three different search engines with different algorithms. They have their own method of indexing sites. Anyway if you update your site and build relevant backlinks, then your site will be indexed by these search engines.

    All 3 have different names.

But seriously... you're question cannot be answered in a sentence or two. You're asking a far too complicated question before probably reading up on all the necessary terms to even understand what someone would tell you if they were to sit and explain it to you.

All three have different ways in measuring how relevant your site is to particular search phrases. Maybe you should do a little googling on the topic

Google knows but you will never know, that is why they dominate. They have the best ways of doing things and they aren't going to let us know.

There are very few people who actually know the answer to this question, only
someone who works for google, msn, or yahoo may be able to answer this question.

One of the differences is how they measure the page rank for keywords.

You can't tell the exact difference but you can observe differences of these search engines if you have your website and did some SEO with it.

The basic principle of operation of search engines like yahoo, Google, msn are the same, but some minor changes leads to a major change in the search results. For Google link are the important thing, for yahoo and msn on- page keywords are the important things.Google likes the older domains, yahoo and msn has no preference towards older once
