Are there any stats on how many times the #1 ranking is clicked for a search vs. say the 3rd, 4th or 5th ranking? I know title and description also play into this by making them enticing for searchers to click on. Any thoughts on this? If my site is at #3 or 4, is it worth the extra effort to get it to #1 for that keyword or should I focus on other keywords also?
