    Hi guys,
My rankings are terrible on Bing but way better on Google. Not sure what is the difference and why that is happening. I know that Google gets most traffic but I dont't want to lose out on Bing traffic either. Any knowledge/experience will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks.

You can fish where the fish are or put all your efforts where the fish aren't and hope for the best.

I've had difficulty ever ranking in Bing, but seem to have no issues ranking in Google even without significant link building.

Bing likes sites with loads of keywords stuffed into it, hidden text, dodgy stuff like that. Just like Google did 5 years ago.

Bing gives more importance to on page optimization like description, keywords but Google gives more importance to off page optimization than on page optimization :)

To be frank, when it comes to the three major search engines, the option is yours - which would you wanna rank the best in.
What works for one, doesn't work for all. In fact, what may boost your ranking in one, may actually get you banned in another.

So I'd go where the majority resides. ;)

I once got a message on my cell phone; Searching for an item is always associated with Google. You may have heard of the term "I Googled it..." no one has ever used the term "I will Bing it...". So if you are doing great with the big gun then it is OK, In my case for a site that rates good in Google will rate good in Bing as well.

But a site that rates good in Bing, may not in do the same in Google, or, may be even penalized by Google for the methods used that got it's rating high in Bing.

Besides, Google is where the grass is greener. Imagine "google" is now a verb. ;)

They have different scripts and maybe for your niche you have more competitors on one of them.

Though slightly dated, here is a good article about some of the differences between the engines.

Take it with a grain of salt - things are always changing.
Also keep in mind Bing's recent movements to integrate more closely with Social Media.

I know google and yahoo and bing all have differences, because my site does not show up the same between the three, just wanted to hear your opinions on what the exact differences are.
