Dear All, Can you anyone tell me the difference between Indexed and Non-indexed pages? Thanks in Advance..
Indexed pages are currently listed within a search engine database while non indexed pages have yet to be included into the search engines database hope that helps GC
Indexed pages are the ones that have been found by search engine and included in the database. So they can show up in search results if they have quality links. Non-indexed pages don't exist in index of search engine and so they can never show up in search results. Once they get indexed, they might appear in search results (depending on quality of links and competition). In case you want to know how many and which pages have been indexed by Google, then use site:url query in Google.
Hi, one thing more, if you do link building with non-indexed pages then it won't be helpful for your website as those pages are not indexed, but this will help them getting indexed in the search engines. Best way to see the indexed pages is to click on the page rank button on Google toolbar and check the "cache snapshot of the page". This will tell you whether the page is indexed or not.
Indexed pages are those that are listed in database of search engines and unindexed are those that are still not in the database of search engine.
Indexed pages are web pages that have already been read or followed by SE robots, hence they have already been stored in the SE databank. Only the indexed pages are searchable in the search engine. Non-indexed ones are not.
