    For instance, we can make an area where you can log in and change various parts of the website, such as adding information or products or changing existing products. eCommerce websites, news websites are some examples of dynamic websites. Dynamic websites can reduce ongoing maintenance costs if you don't want to change things yourself with a web page editor or with the HTML. Many clients do a combination, having some dynamic areas such as a product catalog where they have to change information or pictures regularly, and leave other pages such as contact information as static pages.

    The main difference is maybe that in static sites, yo have to call to your webmaster to add something to your site or submit whatever, in dynamic, the site is prepared to do it yourself using forms and other tools.

    A dynamic site is one that you constantly update. Like a blog where you add information more often. A static site is one that has pages that are never updated like a company's website that has the company profile that will never change. It is always the way it is.

    A static site has fixed number of pages and content. This kind of site is not updated. Dynamic sites can be updated by adding number of pages, content, photos for image gallery etc.
    So dynamic site keeps on changing.

    I think also a dynamic site is one where the main template stays the same but by adding widgets, text boxes and new content to certain pages you can change the appearance and functionality. Whereas a static webpage would require reworking the html on each individual page.

    Static: You can not change anything from a web panel. It may not need any database information.
    Dynamic: you can change almost everything from web panel ( admin ) like wordpress is dynamic website. It need database information.

    Static websites can only really be updated by someone with a knowledge of website development. Static websites are the cheapest to develop and host, and many smaller companies still use these to get a web presence.

    static websites

    * Quick to develop
    * Cheap to develop
    * Cheap to host

    dynamic websites

    * Much more functional website
    * Much easier to update
    * New content brings people back to the site and helps in the search engines
    * Can work as a system to allow staff or users to collaborate
