hi ive been ranked #2 for very competitive keywords in google but not #1

does anyone have personal expriences in traffic differences between when their site ranked #2 and then after ranked #1 for the same keyword in google??

i heard estimates that 70% of people click on #1 and 20% #2 and 10% keep looking...i dont think this true tough

I believe that it is the title that gets the clicks, not the position....

I look at description first - mostly the bold words pulled from my search string.

I look at title second, but that one is really what makes me decide to click.

I care nothing about position. I'll scroll through several pages if that's what it takes to find what I'm looking for. I do not automatically click on the first link, or even a link on the first page for that matter.
