Hello Friend, I am very confused so please tell me that what is difference is SERP and PR . When we get PR then then our site index in SERP also . so please expalain.
SERP is an acronym or abbreviation for "search engine results page". PR is an acronym or abbreviation for "page rank". A page's PR is the measure of its link popularity - the quantity and quality of followed inbound links to that URL. The PR of a URL is (now) a very minor ranking factor used by Google in determining how that particular URL ranks in the organic SERPs for a given keyword phrase.
Hi monishka , SERP is acronym for Search engine result pages whereas PR is for "page rank". if you website has high PR you rank well in SERP, a zero PR means you got indexed in SERP
PR (PageRank): http://www.seobook.com/glossary/#pagerank SERP: http://www.seobook.com/glossary/#serp Sometimes people use SERP to mean location on the SERP ("I've got a SERP of 5, meaning I'm in the 5th position). This is colloquial usage and not really accurate. To determine SERPs, search for something in Google. To determine PR download the Google toolbar: http://toolbar.google.com/
Hi, SERP is a page of results generated by search engines based on weighted elements in each engine's algorithm. PR is the value of page that determines its importance on the web. To promote our website or to get higher page rank we do link building for our website.
High PR has very little to do with how your URL ranks in the SERPs for a particular keyword phrase. Link text used to link to your page and other on-page factors (like <title>, <h1>, <h2>s, content, etc.) carry FAR more weight than the PR of the URL being ranked. PR0 pages outrank PR8 pages every day because Google doesn't rank pages by PR... they rank pages for their relevancy to a particular keyword phrase (the user's search phrase) and PR has NOTHING to do with your URL's relevancy to the user's search phrase. PR is only a measure of link popularity - quantity and quality of inbound links... but has nothing to do with link text. A single URL does NOT have different PRs for different search phrases. PR is only 1 of 200+ ranking factors they are looking at and carries very little weight in the overall ranking algorithm at Google these days...
