    Hi SeoManen.net you are right. If you launch new product or services you can promote it through press release. Article should write the infirmative content related to the site and distribute in the article directories where we can use the resource box to link back to the site.

    Article submission is the process of provide the information about the services of your website in different article submission directories and the main purpose of article submission is that you can get good back links with quality and increase the traffic to your website.

    Press release is clear in it self. This is when we publish any information about our product or services to press. And article submission we write articles or good content for users to read about our product and services.

    Main difference between them is their purpose, both articles and press release serve different purpose. that's why both of them contain different nature of information. information provided in press release has a time bound whereas article exist for longer period of time.

    PR and Articles only differ for genera of his body text. PR body text promote themselves and his organization but Article text describe a particular key phase and send to a perfect logically information and not to promote himself.

    In PressRelease we can not write author biography but in Article we can write author biography. This is the basic difference between them.

    press releases are news and are picked up by news outlets. articles are simply content. i mean i understand you asked for 4 - 5 reasons but that about says it all.

    The main different between article and page release is in article submission the content is about general ideas and knowledge sharing while in Page release the content is about the company or about your own business, what new in business etc.
    The article content can't be promotional which in press release you should have to mention about your company.
    Also in article content you have to post author bio while in press release there is no author bio.
