Difference between penalized sites & banned sites??

Some peoples said my site get penalized & some said my site get banned. What is the difference between penalized sites & banned sites?

 

Penalized sites is much easier to rehabilitate.

 

Banning a website from Google index list is Google penalty given to that site. And Google in particular never confirms whether a website is penalized or not. But it does states that, "it is your responsibility how a website performs on Google. If you follow the rules designed in our webmaster guidelines your site will not get any negative impacts".

 

You can check at google if your site is banned or not, simply type ‘Site:www.sitname.com’ at google.. if your index links show it means your page is still good.

To check if your site is penalized or not, you can check it with this tool:

**replace the ‘hxxp’ with ‘http’

There are different type of penalization that google grant; most common is -30 Penalty and -60 penalty. Lets assume your site was penalized, check your rank before it was penalized and check the current ranking if your site drop abnormally I can say that your site caught by google and penalized.

There still ways to lift the penalty but its different question, since your concern is is your site banned or penalize and too long to discuss.

How did you know that your site got penalized? Only if your website is not appearing in Google's search results with site: operator, you should get confirmation that your site has got some negative impact from Google(that may penalize/ban etc..) due to spam or malicious content. So first check out your site has any of the issues explained about. If you are not sure about your site's exact error, check with Google WMT. It will confirm your website error. After you find and fix the error, you can ask Google to reconsider your website by Requesting reconsideration to your site from here: http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35843.

banned means banned for ever? will it come alive one we made good back links?

 

Banned means the chances of your domain ever getting listed again are slim. Penalised is temporary for different periods of time.

 

Banned means that your domain is in black list, penalize is just temporary action

 

No one can know whether the site is banned or not except site owner.

 

Penalized sites are not exactly banned. They just do not rank for their own keywords. So if Balkhis was to be penalized then Balkhis would not rank for the keyword Balkhis on the first page at all, but it will rank for balkhis.com as a keyword.
Banned websites will not rank for their own keywords, but they will not be indexed at all. So if your site is out of index then your website is banned.

 

When website get banned all indexing of your website will be remove but when website get penalized its indexing will not be remove but Its SERP will decrease.

When we talk about penalized websites, these sites are not exactly banned.They just won't rank for the keywords, that's it.But you can find those websites on search engines with their exact URL for eg. abc.com and those sites will still be indexed by search engines.
As far as banned sites are concerned, they won,t appear on search engines even by searching with their own URLs and those sites are not indexed by search engines as well.

When i tried its Google Ban Check tool, it says my site is banned which is not. I dont think the datas provided here are reliable.
