Difference between original articles and free articles?

    Hi guys,

I am considering whether I should take free articles from article websites (like articlecity.com) or pay some guys to create some unique articles for me.

Obviously, I know that free articles aren't as effective as unique ones but I do have one website full of free articles, and each one of them is indexed in google, and I get a decent amount of traffic from them. So, does anyone have experience with both of these, and does it really effect the rankings? Or are unique ones just better because they avoid the duplicate content penalty?

Also, let's say I would like to start a site about Bedroom Furniture. Can I ask some article company to write the content for the entire website?

    Thanks :)

    Marc

IMHO, unique gets indexed almost all the time while duplicate content gets indexed only sometimes
Get freelance writers to write for you cheaper... anywhere from $4-5 per article...can get discount if you give them volume. As with almost anything, there are plenty of writers so you have to source/research for good writers..ask for their portfoio of past articles.
The holy grail of articles directory is wikipedia.. pay a little bit more to get writer who has written for wikipedia to write and submit to wikipedia
I see that there is no entry in Wikipedia for your niche bedroom furniture so maybe you can quickly get your article in.

    Cheers! :D
