Onpage Optimization: Work done on the website i.e. meta tags, title tags, content optimization, image optimization etc.

Off-page optimization: Collects backlinks from off-page techniques like directory submission, link exchange, article submission, social bookmarking, forum posting etc...

On page SEO means optimization of website's pages with targeted keywords. This process makes the website SEO friendly which helps in easy crawling and indexing of pages. Off page SEO is performed to build back links for a website, which help in achieving high search engines rankings.

On- page optimization is working on the website i.e( meta tag, keywords, description, sitemap, analytics, H1 tag, Alt tags)
Off- page optimization is working for backlink's to the website i.e( directory submission, article submission, social bookmarking, classified submission, press release, blog commenting, forum posting, rss feeds)

On page SEO refers to the design of your website in a search engine friendly. For example, you can change the title of the page to get to a particular set of keywords that have a low amount of competing sites.

Off-page SEO is the process of getting links to your site from other sites that search engines consider relevant to your keywords. If the site is considered an authority on a particular keyword through Google links to your site, for example, will lend credibility to your site and make your ranking to improve.
