Difference between "new user" and "new visitor"?

    I have 32 % new visitors and 0 % new users.

    What is the difference?

For a long time, I assumed that users are visitors. As sessions are essentially visits.
    Help me understand :)

This article says "users" are "unique visitors":

Still don't get the difference between new visitors and new users. It sounds the same to me.

    Hi,

Unique users is counted by a computer and the IP address associated with the computer, using "cookies" on the computer, and not by a person .
unique visitor refers to a person who visits a Web site more than once within a specified period of time. Visits refers to the number of times a site is visited, no matter how many visitors make up those visits.
