dont care about yahoo. Google is the best search engine. If your keywords ranked in google then its good. You should think how to maintain the ranking in google because many like you are trying to make their websites & keywords get rank in it. If you hold loose, then it wont take time for your keywords to move to lower positions in it.

Yes it is very important to know this information. I am no Yahoo expert since we do focus on Google rankings but I will say that Yahoo users are better buyers then Google buyers.

If you have 100 Google visitors and 100 Yahoo visitors you will make more sales on your site from the Yahoo traffic.

If you think SEO for you is about maximising the position on Google, you're getting the whole thing wrong. There is a huge difference between Google Optimization and SEO. It is not only the difference of the words but also the difference in the way that both of those are performed so because of this there is also a notable rate variation too.
Once you refer to SEO you wish to maximize your site on almost all the top search engines, which means that you are looking at site visitors from Yahoo, Bing, Altavista and also Google.

Yahoo is simply concerned with the relevancy of a single page and PageRank and domain authority play a minor role if any at all.
Google gives very little weight to the domain name now, however it is still a good idea to include keywords in your domain so you can pick traffic up from Yahoo as well.

Google SEO considers only the do follow backlinks where as Yahoo SEO considers both do follow and no follow backlinks.
