Difference between External and Internal Link

What are External and Internal Links ??

And kindly give difference between them !

An internal link is one that goes to other areas within your site.
An external link is one that goes to another URL outside of your site, or links from other sites to yours.

The menu at the top of this forum are internal links.
My signature are external links.

 

Internal link: links that starts with your domain name
External link: links that does not start with your domain name

Ex:
- your domain: example.com
- internal: example.com/category
- external: sample.com

Actually both. Naturally, external links are usually much more valuable, especially when they are from authority sources, but internal linking helps too. How much is really hard to measure or know.

 

Internal links point to links on your site, external point to other sites. Simple enough right. You got an internal infection it is within you right...You pass a infection to someone you are doing so elsewhere or externally right. Always use protection in your private life, but I think you get the idea right nuff said.

Links redirects a website to its own pages are called Internal Links and Links redirects to any other website are called External Links. Internal linking is advised for better Search Engine Optimization results as External Links are to be kept at minimum because search engines do not like lot of outgoing links from a web page.

 

That is right that External Link are:
is by leaving comments on other similar blogs in your niche with a link back to your blog in you comment or ‘signature’., and you get backlink.
Also, you can give comment here in Forum, and someone click your signature, and the signature direct to your website, and you get huge backlink.

Internal Links are hyperlinks that point at (target) the same domain as the domain that the link exists on (source). In layman's terms, an internal link is one that points to another page on the same website.

An external link is a link that points at an external domain.

 

If your website has more than ONE page, internal links are most important. If you don't have them, you cannot navigate your site.

If your website has ONLY ONE page, internal links are USELESS (nowhere to go), so that makes external links most important.

 

There is only major difference between these two. Internal link is a link to a page on the same webpage you are currently viewing while external link takes you to a completely different site.Yahoo is a good example. All the buttons you click on go to different pages (internal). Many people post links to images and videos (external).
