is there a difference between .com and .net when it comes to seo? If you owned a .net site are you at a disadvantage when it comes to the search engine ranking?

I think you will loose some traffic to the .com

    from users type in's

about SE's I am not sure. Would love to know.

    Personally prefer .com

Do have a lot of .net and other TLDs

    thanks

Yup no difference. The only is that a .com is more common so if you tell people your site is example. net they may forget that it's a .net and type in example. com.

But if you make the name memorable it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

i think .com has an advantage on the big SE's .net usually consists of network interelated to each other other wise we have been using the extension name since 1985
