No its not the right answer its completely wrong because there is different command for both cache and index
to show cache you can use cache:domainname
to show index you can use site:dimainname

but I want to know the exact functionality that how Google treat

Cache means google visited the page. Index means google index the page, google will show the indexed pages in search result page.

cache and index both are different. cache means your site is saved in server of SE and index means SE gives position in index.

To cut it short, Cache is the most recent saved page of the document while the Index is a catalog of webpages filled with Google.

But how can we believe that indexing means first time crawler comes to our site and why not second time the crawler comes. Because cache means your site crawled by crawler every month. In Cache we can realize that crawler come at this date, time. I think in indexing search engine comes every month as cache. Only thing difference is that in indexing we can not see as cache page.

Index is what you can understand simply by an example.
we have ever seen a list of pages with Title and a short description and page number behind a Book ,Which is called simply a Index of the book.
Same as Index in search engines is the list of web sites with their title and short description in their Index server. For example in Google they have a hugest database of web sites and stored at different different data centers and each data center has many numbers of Index Servers where the data is actually stored.
Indexing is the term which means your web site is get listed in the SE's index server's index.
Cache means simply crawlers presence on your web pages. When you see cache your cached copy of your web pages you can see the date and the time of caching that means on blah blah date and time bot was crawl on your web site again.

When Search Engine visit your web-page and store its details in its Cache is calling Cache and When Search Engine store the Cached details in its data center is calling Indexing.

Cache means - the way the Web page looked when Google’s spiders indexed it.

Index means pages added on Google database.

A cache is like te page in memory, the last time a search engine crawled it, and an index, is usually the files in a folder

I think Indexing means robot know that your site url are exist and cache means the robot crawl all urls which are indexed. In cache the robot crawl the content, links. If changes are made in content the robot will again cache the page as it is already indexed.

    Based on SEO term

    (1) Cache : when search engine bot or crawler come to your page or found any update on site, this process is "Cache".

    (2) Indexing : After reading the updated element it stores those new elements in Search Engine's database. This restoration process is "Indexing".
