deep link is a link not to your home page but to some internal page of your site, means inside one or more directory of your site.

    Yeah as sweetrock82 said.

Not sure what you mean by hardlink though, unless you mean a homepage link.

A hard link is a directory reference to a file, nothing to do with web directories.

i never heard before about "hard links" when comes to websites and SEO.

if you are referring to "hard links" explained in the link provided by "syted", than you cannot have your website hard-linked.

Syted is probably right as Wikipedia says: In computing, a hard link is a directory reference, or pointer, to a file on a storage volume... So the conclusion: Deep links may be useful when you need to point users directly to a page, hard links are something you probably wont like (if you dont want to point users for example to a PowerPoint presentation on your website).

Never heard of the term "hard link" being used in a directory context before. Interesting definition from Wikipedia, however. Which begs the question: should directory owners be accepting hard link listings in their dirs?

hard links means direct link with out any tracking or redirecting also called SEO friendly links, which means PR and serp value will be gained

deep links means links to inner pages of your website.
