Difference B/w Social Networking Site And Social Bookmarking Site?

Hi friends,
I want to know that is there any difference between both these terms. What are those differences? If they have some similarities kindly also explain them...

Social Networking site is the one where you have a community of friends and folllowers and you interact with them via written messages, pictures, videos, events and other different forms of interaction. Examples are Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. Social media sites are primarily for news collection and sharing like Pinterest, Reddit, Delicious.com. They also have limited friends and following features.

Thanks for reply .but i am talking about the difference between social networking and social bookmarking site ....could you please explain the term social bookmarking site .is this same as social media that you are talking about ???

 

social networks are user based and tries to connect people to eachother eg. facebook , googleplus and ..

social bookmarks/social media is trying to make people mark/rate valuable content on the internet
people share media , and things they find interesting with the world and anyone who is a member of the social bookmark
