Hello, I'm currently writing a paper on mobile marketing. This is rather new to me and dealing with different kind of numbers / sources is getting me into trouble. One source is talking about global advertising revenue (http:// www .gartner.com/it/page.jsp?id=1726614 - REMOVE THE WHITE SPACE), the other source is not. This source is (I believe) talking about the total budget spent on advertising (http:// www .neoadvertising.com/ch/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/2011-MAGNAGLOBAL-Advertising-Forecast-Abbreviated.pdf - REMOVE WHITE SPACE) Could someone please explain what advertising revenue actually means, and how I can interpret both sources. Thanks in advance! PS: I was not allowed to put in links, not sure what that is about.

Hello, after some further reading I am pretty sure when terms like 'total advertising spending' and 'total advertising revenue' are being used, that these are the SAME, they indicate the size of the total advertising market. Is this possible? For instance when in an article they're talking about 'the total mobile advertising market', they are talking about the total revenue generated in that market, or the total spending of consumers in that market. Does this make sense? Thanks.
