    Google is better that Yahoo! Google can give you much more traffic than Yahoo! Yahoo takes lot of time to index website but getting on first page is easy. For me, Google still sends 60% search engine traffic while Yahoo only 20-25%

    Yahoo accounts for about 20% of search engine traffic on the web, so they are still a reliable resource, especially for high traffic sites. Don't count them out!

    I get my organic traffic of 85% from google and in case of Yahoo it is 10%.

    So,you see the difference . :)

    Another big difference .They have different web address.

    Ok now the real thing they have their own search database and their algorithm is completely different from each other.

    Google is more for business purposes, Yahoo is more of a personal search engine.
    Google is a bit more efficient than Yahoo though, mostly because of its primarily use for business and other serious resources.
    I myself use both.

    Google was the first ever website I went on about 7 years ago when I got an Internet connection. ;) It's just a nice simple search box but on the other hand Yahoo is a massive webpage which is quite complicated and takes longer to load than Google.

    That's my opinion on why Google is better than Yahoo and most other search engines.

    My website also gets tonnes of traffic from Google.

    Yahoo has a lot of services, games, mail, etc...
    But Google Specialise in its search engine, and 95% of their income (according to wikipedia), comes from their advertising, adsense, and search engine sections.

    Google crawls sites faster than Yhaoo. Yahoo crawler doesn't crawls site quick, it just crawls link backs quickly. also listing on yahoo is very difficult. i am also getting same problem to be listed top on yahoo. on some keywords, where my site is ranking in top 10, yahoo shows me listing in 100 to 200.
