I'm not a designer, but I did a redesign of the blog of a professional dietitian. However, there were severe issues in Internet Explorer, and different resloutions.

Please give your thoughts on the design, and I'd love to hear of any issues, especially if you're using Safari or something.

    • Not enough contrast between the 3 boxes of text in the header. I would opt to make the boxes a lighter shade of blue.
    • The "Welcome" / "Ppopular Posts" etc.. headings, need to be bolded and maybe made a different color - like red, to match your logo.
    • Bold the topics ("Search" / "Subscribe" etc..) on your right menu.
    • Gradient fade the two gray lines on the left and right portion of your main content area - to white. They don't look good ending abruptly.

    Other than that, good stuff.

    @ dreamache

Thank you very much for the feedback.

I lightened the 3 boxes in the header and footer.
Made the headings in the boxes bold, and changed them to red as you suggested
    Made the sidebar headings bold
Removed the page drop shadow altogether.

    Is it better now?

I'm not real crazy about the standard font on the links at the top, but I suppose it helps load the page faster rather than having something unique where it required images.

I like your adsense placement and everything else. The page looks good on my browser, IE6.

Do you think a tabbed navigation at the top would make much difference?
