I was looking that many of my websites that have no PR yet didnt get on searches even they have a lot of backlinks....do you have any experience about that? Your comments are welcome....
Though my site got no pr no link, but it's rich of content and useful, i believe that google will send pr , and my alexa rank will goes up.
What will be is not the question...Im asking if without PR the site is ranked on searches... My sites are indexed but not yet ranked when searching those keywords.
My site rencontremtl.com ranked 1st page on keyword : rencontre montreal photos and on 5th page for rencontre montreal without any pr.
If your site is new and has a lot of back links it probably has PR. It just hasn't shown up on the Google Tool bar yet. The tool bar PR is only a snapshot that gets updated every 4 to 6 months.
Sure you can rank with a PR0 no problem with that. The PR u see in the toolbar is an old value. (The PR export to the toolbar is only all 3 month or smthn) so Google works internal with other values, which means you may see a PR 0 on your toolbar but may have really a pr2 or so...
Yes with out a PR you can be ranked on search engines, PR does not really play a role in search engine rankings although backlinks do.
It;s getting good serp's based on quality content as well strong onpage and offpage optimization for the targeted keywords, with out pr you could reach at top.
For me, I will worry if my site is not shown in searches. I still prefer that my keywords will rank well than to get pr.
Yes, about 8-10 % of my traffic comes from google and yahoo searches. I guess, wordpress has done a wonderful job with SEO without doing any paid SEO marketing but using only Google Webmaster tools I get some traffic and in some cases even first page search results (found using Google Analytics) Cheers, Ajith
yes you can rank for searches in google even if you don't have PR but not for very competitive terms..
You can definitely still rank in search engines though you've PR0. Like what Metastar mentioned, the PR is an old value and doesnt reflect the latest update. Off hand, I think there're a couple of reasons affecting your webpage ranking on search engines. Building too many backlinks in a short period of time (like a thousand in a day) could potentially send a red alert to Goole. Second is depending the online time of your domain and the keywords that you're competing for. Generally, the younger your website, the longer you'll need to rank for the more competitive keywords. yes, your site can rank in serp even pr0, my one site is at first page on google receiving 300-400 daily and it has pr0 but it is also true that google rank high those sites have high pr when there is competent keywords.
Of course you can get rank without PR, PR and SERPS ranking have no connection, If you have quality content then google finds you very soon. When we are gain our links then we are doing lot's of things as like one way links and tow way links one way is ok but when we giving links to other site then it effects on our page rank.
One of my site ranks in many search term on Google.com . It ranks high even though it has no PR. PR is not the basis of high ranking. There are many factors involving high position like Content and on page optimization.
There is no relation between PR and site listing. If you have zero PR also will list in top. PR is based on back links and some other factors but the listing is depends on keyword rich content, meta tags and off page optimisations.
