There were a lot of concerns for this film before it came out, due to the fact it was a remake of an already critically acclaimed trilogy. However, it may not be as good, but its still a strong yet shocking remake. and yess like Lisbeth Salander :)

I watched the original and thought it was decent, but really didn't see what all the fuss was about. I honestly thought it was a bit absurd, the whole "punk-rocker-cyber-hacker" thing, it just seemed so silly to me. Hackers are generally fat guys who breath hard when they walk up stairs, not stylish girls who get in fist fights. Secondly, I didn't think the rape scene was necessary. They could of cut away or something, but instead we are treated to a snuff film. I'm starting to think women are more perverted than men, because the books they seem to like "50 shades of grey" "the Girl Series" are all filled with horrible sexual abuse. I was stunned when I saw a magazine at the supermarket called "The 50 Shades of Grey Lifestyle," seriously: a lifestyle? And then there is the lifetime channel, which is like non-stop sexual abuse. Kinda makes you wonder.

US version was better than originals based purely on Budget as the Swedish version was made for peanuts. I've watched the next two films hopefully Hollywood doesn't do a Nils Bjurman to them.
Rooney Mara was strangely fit and alluring....maybe it was the Tats, face staples or the nakedness not sure.

I think it's declining though. First two seasons were truly astonishing but for example the last one is just "average good". Now that everybody knows what's happening there is more tension like it used to be. I'm still looking forward for the last episodes though...

I've seen the David Fincher version, and found it a bit boring to be honest, although the acting and the atmosphere were good.
