Did you survive penguin and penguin 1.1? Then you are safe for two years

    Hello all,
    Did your website survive penguin and penguin 1.1 update? If yes then congratulations! I hope your site is on the safe side for at least two years!

    I always think in this way:

    1. If cyclone can't hit a country in every year then google can't punish or run penguin like update in every year.
    2. If Earthquake can't hit a country in every year then google can't punish or run penguin like update in every year.
    3. If I can't get married in every year, then google can't punish or run penguin like update in every year.
    4. If stock market can't crash in every year, then google can't punish or run penguin like update in every year.
    5. If global economy can't touch the bottom every year, then google can't punish or run penguin like update in every year....

    I forgot to mention: Google algo will update time to time but penguin like update will not going to occur very soon.

    I'm not sure I agree with you. I think Google will run an update as often as they think is necessary, even if it means running it few time each year.

    Hahaha, you wish. Penguin is supposed to be periodically refreshed. And even if they stopped refreshing it, you wouldn't be safe, other "animals" will follow.

    On day to day search, I observe that search quality of Google is getting worst than ever. Relevancy is getting lesser. per common sense it's all due to their recent experiments. They were criticized a lot for that so updates are not good for them as well. They will surely keep rolling their panda and penguin but IMO they will affect very few search queries.

    It's a nice thought my friend but I could not agree with you.. 2 years is a long period of time. Google is not just sitting back and watching.. A world can be changed a lot and hence we can't expect no updates from Google. I think it will be 6-8 months and Google will have something new for us...

    Excellent.I wish you are right.But I think, shortly there will be another update, may be further Penguin update for better SERP.I guess, it is necessary and I hope Google will be planning for some sort of this.
