    Question....

A question was posed on this page on whether a business plan is needed to get into internet marketing (creating websites).

Did you start your internet marketing career with a Business Plan? Many people do, many people don't think there is a need.

Forgot to mention to post your opinion on the site for your chance to win an SEO package.

Yes, I did. But unfortunately I didn't have a clue as to what I was doing. I suppose a true business plan would involve some types of marketing efforts. It was my impression that I could build a website and people would start coming. It didn't work that way. So the extent of my business plan was to build a nice website, then tell everyone I knew about it. Unfortunately, marketing is about attracting those that you don't know too. I had two failed businesses before I landed a successful one. Others have had many more than I did before getting to a successful one.

I did not but then I follow someone with a business plan ... I believe you need one!
Just making a website doens't work. One needs to know what it should achieve and how that can be done.

I originally did but had absolutely NO CLUE about SEO and failed pretty quickly. The best thing to plan for is the niche you want your website about, there's no point making a site on say casinos where you'll need years of work or tons of money to conquer
