I didnt. And today received the following letter from GA Team: ---------------------------------------- Hello, We love that you love our product and use it as much as you do. We have observed however, that a website you are tracking with Google Analytics is sending over 1 million hits per day to Google Analytics servers. This is well above the "5 million pageviews per month per account" limit specified in the Google Analytics Terms of Service. Processing this amount of data multiple times a day takes up valuable resources that enable us to continue to develop the product for all Google Analytics users. As such, starting August 23rd, 2010, the metrics in your reports will be updated once a day, as opposed to multiple times during the course of the day. You will continue to receive all the reports and features in Google Analytics as usual. The only change will be that data for a given day will appear the following day. We trust you understand the reasons for this change. Regards, Your Google Analytics Team ------------------------------------------- Guess its time to start using some commercial solution....
GA is very very good solution, even for a big sites. I, even, dont mind to pay like 50-100$/m to continue to use it, but there is no such option.
As the post states you have "5 million pageviews per month " , its really huge and hope you or your company can earn millions from ad revenue ,better if you opt for omniture for more growth of your company and your revenue model
Either Omniture or Webtrends are the ones that most big corporations use - be warned - they can work out very pricey
some local financial news site, don't think you have to know exact url. actually there are several sites : news , fin. news, social network and culture and pleasure sites using same GA account with about 7 mills pageviews daily combined.
Do you really need to have up to the hour stats? If I understand right, they're just going to switch to building your report once a day, not cut you off entirely.
Piwik makes a good native solution, is free and since you're hosting it you have control over the data. Frank
It wouldn't be such a problem to have stats updated only once a day in stead of each few hours, right? Because that's whats going on now.
