Did you notice that the "Client Earnings Paid Out:" on the main page of clickbank is constantly increasing by $7

Yes, I notice this, It's obviously a lying script, but who doesn't lie in marketing

Maybe you need to learn your power of 7's again... :p

    Just kidding with you.

Its obviously not a real-time ticker. But I am sure that it is a pretty close representation.

    That ticker doesn't stop. Ever.

That alone convinces me that it's not the real value lol.

You can easily view the source of the index page of clickbank and see the javascript function that does the counting. And yes - the increment is 7:)

Of course its not the real value, seriously if you thought it was then your daft. They cannot display the real value since refunds, chargebacks e.t.c have to be taken in to account and since clickbank analytics tracking isn't even perfect what makes you think an overall figure of their real time revenue would be? Ha that would be the day...

I am sure its an accurate suggestion of the real time figure given through the law of averages or something...

The whole counter is a marketing trick to attract more affiliates and vendors, just like the "special offer" countdowns on some sales pages ;)
