Did You Mean? Conquered!!

For years the "Did you mean?" feature of Google was driving me nuts with a recommendation for some other site with a similar name preceding my very unique name. I asked around on a few forums about how long it took for Google to recognize your name and stop recommending others, but never really got any input.

That said, I just searched for Teknowledgery on Google and over three years after purchasing the domain they finally stopped recommending "teknowledge"!

So if you're wondering what it takes, apparently it takes about three years and thousands of occurances of your name on the Internet. :D

Hehe thanks. :) Man that drove me crazy for so long.

Of course, now I went and started a new business last year with another "do you mean" name. I guess I'll never learn.

I'll check back in two years when it's updated too. :D

This happened with one of my site (globalwebbrands.com). Anytime someone would search for 'globalwebbrands' it would suggest something else with 'global' in its name. After about a year, they stopped! :D
