Did you get any Adsense mail ??

You must have got the mail titled:

Introducing interest-based advertising - action required for your AdSense account ???

What is it all about ?? Dont tell me read that mail again.. Cos i already did.

I mean, Is google telling us all to update the privacy policies ??

I just dont get it..

And ye found no changes in the adsense setup page. Thought of trying that behavioral ad thingy

 

We all got that, And i have to say follow the links in the mail and read them

check "my account" tab, and you will find the interest-based advertising

Ye, saw that new option in My account just now..

I mean wasn't adsense supposed to show relevant ads in the first place anyways.. This new thing is like somewhat spying on the visitors.. Ye know.. Or maybe I am wrong..

 

It's kinda surprising because now the ads might not be relevant to your site but relevant to your visitors activity. So in theory someone coming to my site on Thailand might only see ads for cycling gear, because they have clicked those sort of ads in the past, instead of seeing ads relevant to my content.

I agree that it is definitely spying on our visitors online habits...will have to see if it is a good thing or a bad thing.

 

They will advise what changes will be required by publishers.
