    The Geo Locator

Try using the "GEO LOCATOR". It uses the IP address to locate the longitude and latitude and geographical location of your web site visitors. These coordinates are stored in a database so you can easily check the locations on a world map. That map is based on the famous Google Maps. To be sure of our information we check simultaneous two data banks where we scan the Longitude and Latitude of the IP number of your visitors. The service is free and provided by The Freeware Publishing Site.

For the DP one, can you somehow pass the URL of the site (or an ID) that you want to reference? I'd like to put this in the footer of my daily email mailing (a fan list for an obscure british band, btw), but it seems to require use of the HTTP Referer header, which doesn't typically get passed when viewing an HTML email (i.e. in Outlook).

So, something like this would be helpful:

    <a href="http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/geovisitors/?siteid=unique-num-or-id"><img src="http://geo.digitalpoint.com/a.png?siteid=unique-num-or-id" alt="US Map" style="border:0"></a>

Obviously this requires a change on DP's end, but I think its the only way it would work for email or for browsers that otherwise don't pass Referer info.

    thanks

Not currently... only works with referrer.
