    I can get a gf from the internet if I know her personally and we have met already in real life. If not I have to know this person better to make sure she doesn't fool me or put me into trouble when we meet.

    I did but it's not really that far from where she is... I just grabbed that opportunity to know and start seeing her in person after a few months, spent a few more months of knowing her personally and become her bf. I think it's all about perspective.
