I have a Facebook account but its for my REAL friends and I dont want to ad hundres of random people just to advertise my website.

Did most of you create a new account and add people from other groups with your niche?

Yes - I think a new account is definitely the way to go. Why not use a "page" and invite your friends to be fans?

New account all the way. Think of your friends feeds, getting spammed with lots of news and links they're probably not going to be interested in...

That's a good step. Personal and business categories should be in different accounts.

Friends and Business should definitely be seperated. Create a different account per client as long as you don't add too many friends at once this can be a good way to build up traffic to your site as long as you have content to update/show to your users :)

You can create a new account although you name it a real name, we even have a feed running from twitter thats linked to the status update and thus far fingers crossed the profile is still live. I wouldn't advise putting lots of company blurb on there as this may be suspicious. We add friends regularly, however be careful of adding too many at one time as an error comes up saying they've noticed some suspicious activity, in short 10-20 mins a day adding friends as oppose to 2 hours in one go!

Create new account and find only relevant people. Create a fan page and suggest that page to your friends and also ask them to suggest to their friends. So by suggesting your fan page will grow. Make your you daily update your fan page with news and updates.

What seemed to work for my friend was he developed a quiz using "QuizBone" then added his website
to the application page and description, his quiz has gotten 10,000 hits and his website has gotten
1,200 hits from the app page.

Facebook is a huge social networking website, people if your intellectual value
would not have the mental capacity to complete a task as impossible as hacking
a website with no known security flaws.

Posting your website on your wall is no different then doing a
SocialInterviewer quiz and posting "spam" on eighteen other walls.

Anything that posts something on someones wall without you directly doing it is what I consider spam.

I think creating a whole new account is good. If you get a lot of people added, everytime you post a status update, everyone sees it. Then you can create groups for all your sites, and so on and so on until you have TONS of people linked.

I joined a CODMW2 Page on Facebook, posted my forums, and literally not even 60 seconds later 10 people viewing my forum.
