I have been in google page one for 2 months or so already. Then suddenly my site was nowhere to be found and it is not ranking anymore! Did this happen to you too? Is it a penalty or it is because of the google dance?
happens all the time. could be google dance if the ranking moved back and came back later or you are experiencing ranking flactuation. if your ranking is totally gone or went down a lot, then thats another issue. it could happen if you did a little bit of link building at the beginning and didn;t do any more link building for a while. hard to tell with the info you provided
Actually i did some backlinking in the beginning then once i get to the rankings. I started to stop for a bit. Is it because of this?
Oh, this happened to all 5 sites I've ever created. The first two weeks of every site, they were on the first page of Google for different keywords with 6 million to 50 million results. All of the sudden, they were gone. But, a month later, they reappeared on the second and first pages. If it's a new site, it's more of a "freshness boost". You'll drop in rankings unless you can keep getting inbound links. Just give it some time and keep updating your site.
it sounds like a penalty to me.check your webmaster tools if there are any issues with your site or what you have done,then submit a site reconsideration request to google
It may becoz of your competitors hard work.or your site may be penalized by Google due to some unwanted works.
It's common with most of people you need to build back link continusly. so you can be stay same place on google or little change but most of people stop to build link after certain time hten they see big difference
If your rank moves back to its place again in a week then its Google Dance otherwise google might have penalised your website. Check your webpage for hidden text etc.
