I have stumbled my site and got a few friends to do it then i did a few exchanges here on DP and paid for some stumble services. my page now has 49 reviews and a whole lotta thumbs up, but stumble hasnt sent me any significant traffic, max 2 visits a day .... have i been given the stumbleupon boot? thanks
all sites that have been listed in DP in freebies/stumble exchange threads are being punished and sites listed on some new services like piqq.us,stumbleudon are also being targeted ......
StumbleUpon is coming down hard on those it deems to be spamming or abusing their system. Not only is it moderated via the software and moderators, it's heavily policed by the members. Once they report you and or your sites as spam, you're pretty much done.
Is that a FACT, or just your OPINION? If fact, could you please post your source here? I'd like to know whether it is official (coming from StumbleUpon) or just some blogger's opinion It is easy to make our own conclusion based on our observation... But in the end, since SU is a closed system we will never know how their algorithms work. There are many factors why you are not getting many visitors -- not necessarily because your page is "blocked" by SU. usasportstraining: true, the key is quality content. Spammy websites will not last long
I think it's the lack of friends in the stumble accounts that did stumling from bots so look out for those accounts which are updated daily and has friends....just stumbling doesn't work.
stumble works on thumbs up/down - thats about the biggest feature of it. you'll find that if submit a couple of crap uri's you'll get the traffic, but thats all you'll get. It's like everything else, submit only good stuff and you get the rewards. ps: it's on a per site NOT per user basis. + give it some time and you can easy get back up if you stumble some good quality stuff. I got 1700 visits to a single url in 2 hours yesterday, and it was only a 2 line comment on the pakistan youtube thing. further: test it, open a new account, stubmle a decent url and watch the traffic come in hint: querystrings [stumble see's domain.com/page.html diff to domain.com/page.html?source=stumble diff to domain.com/page.html?source=sumit etc etc]
Yes, it is possible, for example: http://www.problogger.net/archives/2008/08/01/problogger-is-banned-from-stumbleupon/ http://www.problogger.net/archives/...social-media-site-in-one-hour-and-44-minutes/
