Did something huge happen with Google today?

I had a site ranking #1 for hundreds of search terms. The site just started ranking well within the past week or 2. I was even checking it on the big daddy ip server and it was ranking well there too. This morning my rankings seemed to drop on a lot of search terms from #1 to the second page of results. Did google change something? Anyone else having these problems? Any suggestions on how to recoup placement?

    No significant changes for me.

How old is your site? I've heard new sites will rank well for a few weeks then go back into oblivion and reside the google "sandbox" for several months.

There's still some big daddy flux going on and ranking/pr can vary depending on which dc you are viewing.

the site is about 2 months old. It took a while to get into google and then a while more to rank well....now it dropped.

My site has been live for about a month and up until this morning, when I would search for the domain name it would bring up 2 pages of results. Most of them were craigslist ads and forum posts, but today I'm down to 7 results that are 50% different from yesterday. Frustrating.

    Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

two months, then A WHILE more to rank well.

For some of us living on crumbs and scrapes, bragging like this impolite. I have sites Google has hated for years. "Sandboxed" I'm sure. ;)

Oh, back on topic, seen no changes noticed by me.

Mine have dropped as well. Site has 4 months and ranked well until last week.
Could it be sandboxed with 53,700 pages indexed by google?

How do you find this information? Is there a tool that will tell you all the terms under which a site ranks well, or do you have to check each term individually?

    narsticle.

It sounds like you are sand boxed. The way out is to prove your site is trustworthy, work on links, and keep building content. This happens to every one.

When you are back out of the "box" let us know.
