I noticed that a few well established and high ranking real estate websites fell out the SERPs for their keyphrases over the weekend. Did something change and is there a thread anywhere about this?
No threads here but there is one over at WMW that discusses it. Yes, more G crazyness. They seem to be trying to fix the unfixable... their algo.
Nope, very broad from what I can tell. A couple of my sites have been effected and they are not real estate related. Go to WMW>Google Search News>Datacenter Watch: 2006-07-21 It's more whacky G crap.
Things are really fluxing at the moment. A very competitive (nearly 88mil results), 2 word phrase, that I held a top 5 spot for a tons of months, dropped off the face of the earth over the weekend. It's now bouncing from oblivion, to #2, to #4, to oblivion, then back to #2. This is happening on multiple DC's... and it's happening at every refresh. Now, I have seen this kind of wild activity before, and If I recall correctly, I ended up on the up side. I have always hated roller coasters.
I hope this turns out well for me. The power of the searchengines is scary. Two days I moved from #11 to #3 for a keyword and searches jumped from 10 per day to an average of 300 for the last two days
yes, a big change since Saturday( or Friday night). I found many ecommerce sites in the first page of their target keywords were drop to the 8 or 9 pages or completely vanished.
I am noticing 3 different data sets at the moment , I am on two of them, not the the 3rd. 64.233.171.104/ on 64.233.161.147/ off You will most probably find your site come back when searching for it in " ".
I noticed this with my site.... Went from top 4, to nowhere in top 100... then came back this morning. n then gone again this afternoon....
I only see my rankings improved until Friday ... on Friday my website moved for a very competive keyword from #29 to #19 then to #18,17 and then to #12 ... i moved in serps 5 times in a day ... is that normal ? lol
