I have some old records of the PRs of the pages of certain websites. Recently I rechecked these pages and found that for several of them the PR display has changed from PR2 or PR3 to "no information available" (gray bar). This happened on 4 pages out of the 52 that I have a record for. (The PRs of the other 48 pages are still the same.) Does this mean that those four pages lost their previous PR? Or does it mean that they still have their previous PR but it is now hidden by the gray bar? Does anyone know? Thank you
Thanks for the replies. What puzzles me is why, if those four pages lost their previous PR, why doesn't the display show PR0 now instead of the gray bar? The gray bar might not be the same as PR0.
I have noticed the same thing. I think the gray bar means they have not been assigned a pr or there is not enough information to calculate one
Here is an example from my records: The home page of the site is http://www.wowdirectory.com/ This home page still has its previous PR. But here is an inner page of the same site: http://www.wowdirectory.com/dir/6850/1.php According to my records, this inner page used to be PR2, but now a gray bar shows on the Pr display instead. So the home page kept its previous PR, but the inner page has a gray bar now instead of the previous PR2. Does anyone know what would cause this? Thank you
Your site might be in the middle of a pagerank value update or it's banned just give it time and you will know for sure, But don't worry a lot about the pagerank value all what is matter is your site ranking well, Unless you want to sell links.
These are not my sites. They are mostly directory sites that I happened to keep records on because I had submitted my sites to them for listings.
My personal blog when from a 2 to a 0 recently but it still ranks very well in google and doesn't appear to be penalized or banned. I don't know whats up with that.
